Lew Henderson's Chimp, Marko. Actually he trained three chimps in succession to do the head balancing traps and hoop passing, etc. act. Having reached an age where he, Dad, could no longer do his long time juggling routines he acquired a chimp for a partner and continued performing till age 75 in 1966 after almost 60 years as a professional entertainer. Mother Alice Henderson, and brother, Richard, fulfilled an existing contract with Gil Gray before retiring the last Marko. Along the way Dad had added a female chimp for a short while. All four chimps were accepted by reputable zoos at retirement. None were ever sold.
