A lifetime of memories and now, nothing to build on.

This is the 109th edition’s elephant display, which had a gypsy theme. (A recent hit movie had been titled “King of the Gypsies” and might have served as the inspiration. When Gunther made his entrance, he was announced as “the King of the Gypsies.”) The music score assembled and arranged by Bill Pruyn included excerpts from Monti’s “Czardas,” an excerpt from one of Liszt’s “Hungarian Rhapsodies,” “Dark Eyes,” “Romany Life” (Victor Herbert), and “Play Gypsies, Dance Gypsies” (Kalman).

Great collection Eric. I'd love to have an album with all those on it. Good to see you commenting again.
