I believe cats commonly

known as black panthers

are actually black leopards

When Charly Baumann came over to RBBB in 1964 he worked in the barred arena. His seats and props were all chrome and polished wood. Wood tops were all scored, kind of like a checker board to prevent slipping. Looked like Danish modern furniture (be neat to have a piece in my living room.) The cat seats had two legs, the back hung on the arena. The next year they used the mesh arena and couldn't use the seats, used some non-descripted seats painted aluminium. (Someone might have some cool end tables.)

Chic, most pick-up trucks still have chrome bumpers offered. There are still shops that can do the large chrome parts. Find a body shop in your state that works on firetrucks. They should be able to point you to a plate shop that can handle large parts.
The reason for the decline in chrome shops was at one time you had outlaw shops that disposed of their waste the wrong way, and then the good shops that paid to have their waste removed the correct way. Well it took the EPA about 15-20 years to close down the bad guys, but in the mean time they had under cut the legal shops and put most of them out of business. By the time the EPA had cleaned up, there were not many shops left.

Thanks PJ but I think that

Valmont in Tampa still does

large scale Chrome plating

The best is triple plating

Copper Nickel & Chrome but

1st a severe cleaning

Sunshine Scenic Studios)

folks worked in off times

including Suzanne Zerbini

Jean Charles & Mimi's mom
