This is the act which sparked it all for me as a freshman at Western Michigan University, sometime during the winter of '73-'74 (can't remember the exact date). As fate would have it, my life took a hard right turn that weekend as I watched all seven shows, decided my life's path right then and there, (talk about fireworks!) and never looked back. No regrets, ever! Funny how things work out sometimes...
Happy 4th of July everyone

Wolfgang was 1 of the nicest

guys in the business as well

as being an incredible trainer

presenter & performer Patricia

Congratulations on your choice

Your note reminds me of Piaf's

song "Non Je Ne Regrette Rein"

We are some of the luckiest 1s

Yes, Edith said it all in that song. Never have I lost sight of my good fortune to have found my life's calling at 18 years old. Quite sure the man upstairs had a hand in it as well!

In 1998 it gave me great pleasure to glance into the audience at the Massy Circus Festival and see Wolfgang Holzmair sitting there with a big smile watching the act. I only wish I'd had the opportunity to visit with him and tell him of the enormous epiphany I had while watching him work so many years before.

Sometimes unforeseen circumstances bring unexpected and abrupt changes to one's life. I would have very much liked to have continued working in the arena as long as Mabel and had a 50 year career; instead it was full steam ahead for 34 years- then PFFFTHTHTHT. I flat ran out of steam. Oh well. What can you do. It took a few years of mental readjustment, but I'm happy with my life now too!
