Murray Hill.

His elephants were the Mighty Mites. Had a long jackpot visit with Murray by phone one night, and within two days learned he had died.

I first met Murray when I was a volunteer keeper at the Lincoln Park Children's Zoo in Chicago in 1960. He had a chimp, Chatter, that was on a local TV show and Murray'd do the voice over comments. Somewhere I've got Chatter's 8x10 glossy. A few years later he got a little single elephant, Dennie and then the Mighty Mites. I think he always had a chimp in his elephant acts instead of an "empress" I remember one night at Busch Stadium, St. Louis (1973) moving over from helping Bobby Gibbs to hold the Mites in the ring while Murray ran off into the seats to retrieve his chimp. Always an entertaining guy to visit. It think he died living in Fordland, MO near Springfield.
