He once took Pat Anthony to see her at her lush Ravenswood penthouse, and later laughed that he had never seen Pat so quiet. Incredibly enough, Miss West allowed her home phone number to be listed in the Hollywood phone book. Another top star whose number remained listed, to the delight of his fans, was Stan Laurel, who cheerfully answered and talked to whoever called.
