This wagon got my attention as very similar to the Barnes show tab, which featured two elephants in a similar pose. These carvings had the elephants' trunks curving in at their feet, while this one has the trunk curving out. The Barnes elephant tab came to Louis Goebel, and the two carvings adorned either end of the big sign out front for years, until our closing. First, the two elephants faced the words WORLD JUNGLE COMPOUND, and later, in my day, they bookended the name JUNGLELAND. I understand they were taken down and later restored to the original wagon. Photos of this transition have been posted here at times, and this sums up my knowledge of wagon history.
