#7 Cole Bros.

After the Evening Show, I would help "Zoot Suit" O'Connell load out his Garbage Joint.
Anyone remember what a Zoot Suit Was?

Cab Calloway wore one as the coat was real long and had a long watch chain and large hat.
Hell I bet 98% of America could not tell you who Calloway is and was the hidey ho man.

Cab Calloway was a popular band leader/musician from the days when Harlem was the place to go for jazz entertainment. He appeared in numerous films and popularized the zoot suit (as popular as it ever became).

Minny The Moocher (she was a real Hoochie Coocher) could tell you right off.

Cab Calloway was reintroduced to the 'younger generation' in 1980 by appearing in the original Blues Brothers movie.... a great movie if you've never seen it.

Blues Bros, yes indeed, and before that he was on good old Ed Sullivan a number of times.

I only recall seeing one or two , they caused riots during WW2 because it ws said it wasted material that could be used for the war effort. Frank Sinatra wore one. Also Malcolm X before he became a Muslim.
I recall "Zoot Suit" coming by the Cristiani Wallace Show on a visit to talk to Never Worry Murray (the Superintendent and Concessions Manager).
