RIP, Ralph Gifford, one of the best. He billed for the Beatty show and for Carson & Barnes. He once told me that his dream was to bill for The Greatest Show On Earth before he died--a dream he fulfilled!

I knew Gifford though the years and he could put up the paper and his crew as well.
He was billing for Carson and Barnes and was in orange, Texas and filled up at a local gas station and got bad gas with water in it.
Well that killed both billing vans and I went over and took him around town so he did not loose a day and be behind billing.
We had fun and it was a thrill for me and I finally got to use my 6 foot long sticks to post in windows up high in a store.
The vans were ready that after and he and his crew was off to another town to let them know a circus was coming.
Yes he worked for Ringling and it was window cards and tickets in local stores and he died on the job.
I went by the local add agency and picked up all the posters and tickets and delivered it to him in at the motel.

That's the Two Hemispheres bandwagon pictured. It goes on the auction block on May 14 in Dallas, Texas. Opening bid $200,000.

Don,
I looked it up the other day and it looks like to me it will start at $250,000 with the B P added to the price. The auctioneers have to get there pound of flesh.
I sure hope Tibbles has his check book ready and it goes to the Ringling museum, a great place to show it off and back in Sarasota, Florida.

From the auction site, looks like the Two Hemisphere's wagon went for $250,000. Couldn't find who bought it. Anyone know?
