Way to go Barbara and you got to sell it to the audience like you do.
Many today ought to take a lesion from you as they still need to learn how to style.
Great days of the circus the way it was and has it changed in this modern days.
Just saw Carson and Barnes Circus and does Armando Loyal carry on this tradition today as what a great elephant act and presenter.
Lucy would be so proud of him.
Harry in Texas
Standard colors of the glass roundels
normally provided for these sriplights
(aka Xrays) are red blue & green but
we had Kopp custom make a large run
of pink that Don Foote had requested
We assembled these short sections to
remain in their custom hinged crates
You learn that from the stage. That's where her folks and mine started. Barbara brought a lot of stage presentation to her performance. Lifted the act out of the animal act connotation. If you know what I mean.
Billie
John Ringling North announced the end of the tented circus in America. Kenny Feld caved in to the activists after he'd won the big lawsuit, and announced the end of at least his elephant acts. But tented circuses continue, and there are still elephant acts booking. So you thriving Elephant Empressi out there, take a look at these photographs. This is Barbara Woodcock. This is how it's done.
Right on Roger!
THANKS BOYS, YOU ARE GREAT TO SAY SUCH NICE THINGS. SURE LIFTS AN OLD BROAD'S SPIRITS. ON THE STYLING, I FORGOT TO MENTION TO BUCKLES THAT I WOULD CHANGE AROUND IN THE CROWD, AND WORK DIRECTLY TO ANOTHER PERSON. TRYING TO MAKE THEM FEEL THAT THEY WERE THE ONLY ONE IN THE WHOLE HOUSE THAT I SAW. ( I am sure that the true circus performer knew I was flirting a little too. ) ( SHAMEFUL.) ......I am always so late getting to Buckles Blog, I am sure there are many that don't see my comments..........Much Love........Barbara.......
What a disappointment Barbara
to learn that it wasn't me
