Today is quite a day.
First it's Bob's Train at 9:00 AM. Folks are coming back for
the winter so activity should pick up there. Come and tell some truths and some
lies about circus days of old.
Then at 6:00 Showfolks Club opens for our holiday dinner.
Tonight we are honoring Pedro and Dolly and we will be talking about the other
great circus events coming up in the next few weeks. Go to www.showfolks.com for all the details and don't forget to visit Showfolks on
Facebook.
On Monday, we will be saying goodbye to a great lady of the
circus and supporter of Showfolks. Working in the background, for many years,
Mary Ruth saw to it that the membership records were up to date and that you
received your card on time, often sitting in the bar hoping you would come in so
that she could give you your card personally and by-the-way save the postage.
Services for Mary Ruth will be at 4:00 PM at the Palms near the corner of Honore
and Fruitville with fellowship afterwards at Showfolks.
News from Ray: He is still there and we are still handling
his "emergencies" here as they come up. This month it's related to his car and
trailer. If you are interested in acquiring either one, see Manny, who has
been left in charge of disposing of them.
See you at the club.
