I know foot care has been discussed here before, but how often do the bulls need to have theur nails done? Does it depend on if they been walking on lots of rough surfaces as opposed to being mostly on grass/mud? Also, would foot care be a 'line up the herd' event or do a couple every day activity? This is a great picture of the uo close work.

With Kelly-Miller and later with our own act my Father always filed the nails with a rasp in the Spring prior to going out on the road but more importantly was trimming their pads with either a draw blade of hoof knife to keep them even.
Similar to when kids wear their shoes out on one side.
