Raining in Michigan reminds
me of monumental mosquitos
Yes, this is a beautiful picture. Is this just a hind leg stand or is Anna Mae walking on her hind legs?
She skipped all the way around the ring with Barbara on her leg.
That is Lydia, and she skipped all the way around the ring, then waltzed in place and then did the hind leg stand, and I went on point. This is the mount that Lydia would help me up on when we had laid off for awhile and my arms and legs would be week, because I couldn't practice in the barn because of allergies. I would take dance at those times but, it was not the same muscles I used for the mounts. So Lydia would reach around with her trunk and push me up on her leg. She did this all on her own. Then later on when I got my strength back she stopped. Buckles and I would always laugh, that she knew I need the help. She was a great mount bull. The merry-go-round she would throw me up to her back as she was mounting Anna May. I had to get on the bull tub, then jump into her trunk, as she was going up and I would land standing on her back. It was about the toughest mount I did. And there were some dizzies. It is a shame that none of the mounting and dismounting was never filmed. That was the hard part, making it look easy. Like the pyramid I would ride her up stand then side poise, then do an aerial poise as I jumped down to the tub, before Sadie reached it. I didn't like to ride it down as I didn't think it was lady like. But after I hurt my back I couldn't jump down any more. "SHAME LOST ART"......Barbara.....
