European circus movie footage circa the late 1950s-early 1960s. The act is not identified on the film’s
soundtrack but I’m assuming that these are Ursula Bottcher’s polar
bears.

Although it's possible I'm not so
sure this is Ursula by proportion
There were a number of polar bear acts in Europe at that time and one really shouldn't make such an assumption without some supporting evidence. Just trying to be a good historian and no personal criticism meant.
As one example, among others, it could be Alfons and Doris Arndt.
