Actually this wise old elephant is checking to see if she has a "Goof" on her hands by feigning total exhaustion and plopping down on her knees, a common ploy that will become chronic if not immediately corrected.

Wow! That's an education, didn't realize. By 1994, last time I saw Irene and last year for Alan Hill's Great American, Mike Rice had her in great shape. Even for my uneducated eye the improvement was very noticeable.
