Darn good light show Chic Silber! And a very nice YouTube segment on the special-effects you did for "Wicked!" It was good you kept mentioning your circus work in the same breath with theater work. By the way, many years ago on New Year's Eve I saw Irvin Feld's name with some sort of New Year's congratulations scroll across the message board that enwraps one of the buildings on Times Square.
Thanks Dick but the TSNYE event
was not my doing but the scroll
you mention that wraps around the
Times Tower began service in 1928
with 14,800 incandescent lamps
It is known as "The Zipper" & is
now replaced with LED technology
The 1st NYE celebration that had
fireworks from the building roof
was on December 31st of 1903 to
ring in 1904 when the area was
renamed "Times Square" from the
original "Longacre Square"
