I'm sure everyone is aware that this structure had once been the grandstand for the old Sarasota Fairgrounds and later served as housing for menagerie animals below and loft for the canvas sailmakers in the upper stories.

I got know Leif Osmundson over
many of his last years during
the time his shop relocated to
East Avenue & only wish I could
remember his stories of his dad
coming over from Norway to run
that loft mentioned here
