1956-57 #15

They had a monkey island inhabited by a gang of Rhesus monkeys and a playful otter that lived in a wooden crate placed right in the center.
When the otter got tired of swimming in the moat he would retire to his crate then the emboldened monkeys would gather, peek through the cracks and chatter but when he came out they would all scatter.

I was told these were made from the square performing arena sections after Mr. Charles death, when brother John took the performing wild animals off the show. It looks like they took some 4x4 angle to support the top.
