The Cristiani Elephants had the BEST music of any independent act. (It had been custom-prepared by Bill Pruyn in his pre-Ringling days.) The selections included “Entry of the Gladiators,” several of the “Polovetzian Dances” by Borodin, an excerpt from “Scheherazade” by Rimsky-Korsakow, “Pahjamah” by S.R. Henry, and “Procession of the Sardar” from Ippolitow Iwanow’s “Caucasian Sketches.”
