Robbins Bros. in 1949, Ellis "Skinny" Goe, Conductor
Rusty Bader with the trombone, next is Otis Jones and Eddie Doman playing tuba.
I remember one day Eddie complaining to Rusty that with a Tuba you only got one shot to hit the right note but a trombone player could slide around until he got it right.
This made me think back to when I tried out for the Grade School band in Hot Springs where they insisted I play the trombone since I was the only one with long arms so I decided to go out for basketball instead.
From this incident and Doman's remarks, I have gone through life considering Trombonists untrustworthy.
