Decided to include some comments I lifted from some of my father's letters presented to me years ago from Rick Pfening.
I added pictures with hopes of making them more interesting but in so doing reduced the size of the text.
So we'll see what happens.

What began your father'a interest in documenting elephants ? What gave him the "fever" that some of us seem to have caught ?
Great stuff! When one clicks on the photo and it enlarges, the text is just fine. Keep these letters and photos coming on a daily basis! Great history from a highly observant show guy who, like all of us, was captivated by the circus. KEEP 'EM COMING!
