Troop Train #2

In 1943, the Office of War Information (OWI) released a 1-reel short subject titled TROOP TRAIN, which showed moviegoers how an armored division was loaded for transport by rail. In addition to some great shots of old steam locomotives in action, this film shows an assortment of military vehicles being loaded onto rail cars, providing an opportunity to compare how the Army did things with how the circus did things. (From studying the following images, many of you can probably elaborate at length on the similarities and differences. Your comments will be welcomed by the rest of us.)
