The news today
says Mickey Rooney is gone.
Here are a couple of pix of Mr Beatty with
Mickey.
The first is from "The Big Cage" and the second
is from "The Lost Jungle."
Both are from scenes supposedly taken in the
cat barn of the fictional circuses in the two pix and they were obviously shot
in two different places. In filming "The Big Cage," Carl Laemmle, Jr. built a
replica of the corporation barn interior on a sound stage, but the next year Nat
Levine wanted to cut corners so shot his winter quarters scenes in Peru.

Mickey Rooney (Joseph Yule Jr)
died in California at age 93
Rooney's first film role was in "Mickey's Circus," released September 4, 1927. He played Mickey McGuire in what was the start of a series of short films adapted from the Toonerville Trolley comic strip, which contained a character named Mickey McGuire.
