Load out day! #3

We marched mostly single file and having already positioned  the ramps earlier in the morning we loaded straightaway.
Several of the guys would stand in the door of each car and lead the elephants to their positions as they were sent up.
I remember Ted saying one night "Five minutes flat!"

I can't recall if the train was

down the river by the old wharves

& delapidated warehouses or where

I believe Camel John had worked

for Jack Joyce for many years

I'm sure that Johnny would know

Sonny & Jerry Sowalsky may be the

only folks outside of the family

that I would know there anymore

& I think Peggy Williams might be

with the home office as well

I guess the home office may stay

split for a while between VA & FL

Camel John worked the cat door for Charly and Sonny worked under Axel.

Sounds like today's Elephant Department has the same # of folks as in 1979, they just have 25% of the elephants (give or take!)
