Charles Hunt, Jr., died in early August of 1963, the same day the show played Kingston, NY, where it began. And that was the day I first saw Hunt Bros.
Harry lived until 1984 and was 79.

Son Eddie died at a young age and Charles jr. had health problems for many years and at times could not travel with show. Too bad because he was very smart,well liked and very knowledgable showman. Only sister had a chimp act on show for many years. [can not think of her name].johnny

Lavines chimps; The name Charlotte comes to mind. I recall they were sure nice to us kids. I recall my dad visited a lot with Mr Lavine. Mr. Charles Hunt had a small one axel house trailer for his office on the lot with several oxygen bottles along side. My father had asthma bad and related to that. I recall Harry had a battery phone he used to keep Charles informed while making the morning rounds. It had a large battery with shoulder strap; about the first portable phone I had seen back then. As I recall, they had a five ring tent set up at that date.
