The recording of Circus and Animal history would never have been the same if it weren't for Richard sitting on the left and Fred Pfening Jr. seated on the right.
The sooner we can get the National Zoo, Circus, Menagerie and Captive Wild Animal Museum built, so there is a rotunda to put an RJR bust in, the better off we will all be. Happy Birthday, Richard. I have enjoyed school very much.
My thanks to Buckles and all you good guys and gals. This photo was taken in 1997 in the dining car of the Great Circus Train en route from Baraboo to Madison. Wisconsin Governor Tommy Thompson stopped by to greet the Great Pfred and me.
I believe Barbara Woodcock is right behind me in hitting the same age. She sure looks a lot better than I do.
Happy Birthday Richard and hope you have many more. Your historical information always adds to the circus or animals information. Thanks for the memories. Harry in Texas
GOTCHA BEAT BY A COUPLE YEARS but I want to thank you for your insight and knowledge of animals, especially on shows. Continue on and best wishes. johnny

Richard, tried to second Bob Cline's sentiments yesterday, had problems, hope today proves successful.
Every good wish,
Paul
Richard was recently in Nashville and we drove around checking out places he recalled from visiting relatives here during his childhood.
I was glad to have this chance to repay him for the great backstage tour of the Atlanta Zoo he gave me and Mary Jane several years ago.
Of course it was great to see the lovely Delia too.
