Buckles, what was the origin of Jess, Mabel and Daisy?

Buckles: Since you haven't responded, I'll be glad to take a stab at this (as best I can).

Jess was an old RBBB elephant, had been there since 1930, was with Jimmy Edgar's Sparks show in 1946-47, sold to Kelly-Miller in late 1947 and was with Cole and Walters when they started out in 1950.

Daisy was a former Gollmar elephant, went with that show to James Patterson and with his various titles through Gentry-Patterson, then to George Christy, was on Harrington's Nickel Plate then Bailey Bros. Christy sold her to Russell Bros which herd all came to Kelly-Miller and thence to Cole and Walters in 1950.

Mabel was on Fred Buchanan's Robbins Bros so ended up at the Hall farm, sold to Bud Anderson for Seal Bros, then Parker and Watts, Hamid-Morton and to Kelly-Miller in 1950. I believe 1953 was her only year with Herb Walters- Cole and Walters went out at George W Cole and then Famous Cole, the first show I was with.

Jim, that's the best I can do.
