Quite a show with some interesting old time show folk friends. thanks for the photo. johnny
Gad, Albert Fleet had the meanest chimpanzees, Micky and Minnie, in the world. Of course I was introduced to them much later in the game and they would just go wild when they spotted a clown. We had to be real carful we did not enter or exit the arena if they were coming our way. Will never forget the fear we lived in. I guess one of them bit off one of Alfred's fingers at one time. Oh, they were sweet ones. Jackie LeCLaire
Does anyone know if the Chatta featured here is our Chatita Escalante, later Mrs. Herbie Weber?
JACKIE is right. Chimps are immediate threats to clowns, and equally dangerous to African-Americans. One glance, and they're out of control. And yes, Mickey claimed at least one, maybe two, of Al Fleet's fingers.
