JACKIE said...: Well, I had to call Kenny Dodd to get more information on the Geraldos. I was on the show in 49 when they had the fall and I was not in 51, so I was surprised that they recuperated that quickly. Tragic end to them, as they became like hermits, almost never going out and as I understand, with the blinds closed. Norma Fox had the most contact with them and the did have a son who did not want anything to do with them it seems. I will never forget the first time the performers saw the act at rehearsals in Madison Square Garden. The cynics saw the traps hanging and made remarks, "Oh, look, another double trap act". Everyone who watched them do their act in the quiet of the building, gasped at the tricks they did and hung their heads in shame.
