To Chic

This is the same robe, Don gave it to her as a protective covering for the wardrobe.
Frank Ball took the picture at the D.C. Armory.

Fan or performer, you can't say enough good things about Frank Ball. The quintessential Southern Gentlemen to begin with.

R I P

Paul

PS He sure picked great subject matter too!

DON MADE TWO ROBES FOR ME, THE SAME...HE WANTED THEM TO DRAG LUXURIOUSLY BEHIND ME....THEY WERE FOUR INCHES LONGER....I HAD TO BEG HIM TO MAKE THEM SHORTER, AS I JUST COULDN'T DRAG THAT BEAUTIFUL ROBE ON THE GROUND.LUXURIOUSLY OR NOT. HE DID IT TO SHUT ME UP....BUT HE LIKED THE FACT THAT I TOOK SUCH GOOD CARE OF WARDROBE. I WAS TAUGHT BY MY "MOTHER" THAT YOU DIDN'T EAT, DRINK, SIT DOWN, OR SMOKE.(I DIDN'T SMOKE) IN COSTUMES. IT JUST WAS NOT DONE. HE SAID MY COSTUMES,( EXCEPT FOR MY MANAGE COSTUME, THAT I HAD TO KEEP ON FOR FINALLY) DID NOT HAVE TO BE REFURBISHED AFTER THE FIRST SEASON. DON SAID THAT WAS A FIRST FOR HIM. HE TOLD ME I WAS THE FIRST PERFORMER THAT KNEW HOW TO WEAR A COSTUME....BUT THEN I HAD TO LET MY DAM BACK KNOCK ME OUT. HIS WORDS NOT MINE. I LOVED DON SO MUCH. HE WAS SO GOOD TO ME.....I MISS HIM SO MUCH.....The "ROBES" were made for back stage, not to go on the floor.....Barbara....

A great photo but 1 of my least

favorite buildings on the route

(& not much of a neighborhood)

LLoyd Jr was driving out of the

fence to see the barrels of 2

handguns 1 at each side window

How exciting

In that robe Barbara you could have

gone anywhere you wanted

(reminds me of the Maidenform ads)

I'm with you in missing Don

Those were the rollaway folding

bleachers behind the blue crates

Terribly uncomfortable
