I saw this delightful and heart –warming animated film on Friday evening February 20, 1942 at downtown Atlanta’s beautiful and ornate Paramount Theater (demolished in 1960).

I was with my family, and we had supper beforehand at the nearby S&W cafeteria.

As a budding circus fan, I was captivated by it.

In today's P/C environment there may

be some objections to the crows of

their slang & stylish language but

it would be a terrible shame if it

kept this marvelous film from a new

round of distibution to the public

I too have fond memories of it

Other than the mouse, the black crows are the only other sympathetic characters in the film. (Showing small children the scenes where Dumbo’s mother is struck in the face with a whip, being hooked, and then chained up by both of her rear legs inside a dark and cramped cage wagon has probably created more PETA supporters than any other Hollywood film!)

I have this movie on DVD and my grands love it and I don`t think they even pick up on it not being P/C. I also remember seeing it in the theater as a small boy and taking my kids to see it. I`ll still watch it with the grands everytime they come over and stick it in the DVD player, one of Disneys best !!!
