Ashanti #9



On Caine’s “hut hut,” the camel raises up. (One wonders if Caine’s smile was scripted or a spontaneous expression of his genuine delight at the camel obeying his command.) Caine appears in quite a few scenes riding the camel, so by the time he finished this picture, he was undoubtedly an experienced camel-rider!

To more an elephant forward, American handlers have always used the command "Move Up!"
Hugo Schmitt and Axel Gautier said "Go On!" which which sounded more like "Gwann!"
But Gunther used "Hutley" somewhat similar to camel dialog.
