I don't remember exactly what this was all about.
Kirby Grant is either giving or receiving an award.
Unfortunately he died in a car wreck not too long after.

I once asked Kirby if he might have come to my grade school back in the forties. He said no, that would have been when Earl Nightingale was playing Sky King.

Of course we had no idea what Sky looked like, having only heard him on the radio. They could have brought in anyone and we would have believed them.

Peter Pan came with him, a girl in a short green outfit and cap.

Sky King died the day the Challenger exploded. He was on his way back from the launch on Rt 520.
Sad day all the way around.
