Saw that production in DC, and RB also. Memorable occasion as I was in a car accident heading to Capital Center. Both shows were great, but Circus America shone just a bit brighter. I do remember, though, that RB at the armory had probably the best sound quality for an arena circus at that time. I know, that is an unusual, recollection. All the best, Brian
I visited for a couple days and the production plus GGW and big clown alley with two great flying acts and overall professional staging and choreography gave Ringling the edge to be sure. Circus Americas multiple ring displays had not let the acts get comfortable working together and music was played for the center ring act with cues so that the other acts had to try and hold some part of the audience. It happens alot in producers throwing a bunch of acts together in a display. Ringling sets a musical score to fit the display and also has some four weeks of rehearsal. Sadly Circus America did not have that. Certainly Ringling has glitches as well but overall its in the "Big League"

As I recall he D.C Press gave the edge to RBBB in overall production and balance but agreed that it's competitor had more highlights.
