Blackie Bowman with "Mitzi" and "Fritzi".
Both these elephants started out in Vaudeville with Sanger's Midgets.

My dad said that when he worked "Black Diamond" on the Atterbury Show one of his big tricks came while he was up on the tub they placed sleigh bells on his ankles and he would go into his front dance.
The big finale came when men were invited from the audience to climb aboard his back and Diamond would go into his three-legged skip whereupon you could see about three feet of daylight under each butt as they rose and slammed down on each stride.
Of course this was high humor in 1927 BL (before lawyers).
