DEEP IN MABEL STARK'S TRUNK, I FOUND THIS SMALL SCRAPBOOK, FILLED WITH 5 X 7s. I DON'T BELIEVE IT WAS HERS, AS SHE ENTERED NOTATIONS ON MOST OF HER PAGES. NOT ONE WORD OF I.D. ACCOMPANIES A SINGLE PHOTO. THEY APPEAR TO BE TAKEN EARLY IN THE COMBINE. MORE TO COME, BUT LET'S TRUST SOMEONE CAN NAIL THE SEASON. |

Great shot of the six pole big top with 3 rings and 4 stages. Notice the cage wagons backed up to the cages and the attendant standing on top of the cage waiting to work the chute. Big crowd and they have added the extensions to the blues. These were added to the end of the stringer and are almost sitting on the ground. Didn't use rope to hold down the seat boards on these, but looks almost like an iron strap to keep them from sliding from out from under the paying customers when they walked on them.
