More on Moore #3

Truck No.2 by bucklesw1
Truck No.2, a photo by bucklesw1 on Flickr.
Bobby eventually sold his elephants to the Ringling Show where several remain but mostly I lusted for his truck which was purchased by Jorge Berrada.

My Master of Transportation, Jimmy Hall might elaborate on this vehicle.

Buckles,
Your Master of Transportation James C. Hall can elaborate on just about anything. From what I have been told he was the main cog in making the Smokey Jones Training Seminar such a resounding success. :)

Chic,
I gotta tell this story. A few years ago, when John Cuneo wanted me to go on the road, he said he would buy a new truck if I would. I told him I wanted a Peterbuilt. He bought an International, and tried to convince me, God, and everyone else that it was a Peterbuilt, regardless of whether it had International across the radiator and doors. Needless to say the "world tour" never came about. My son Adam currently has the truck and it is called the "Peternational" in the records at the shop in Illinois that does the maintenance. It's called that because every time it was in the shop, John Cuneo would call to see when the Peterbuilt would be finished, causing much confusion in the shop, until I explained to the owner one day, that John Cuneo is convinced the International is a Peterbuilt, because it want's it to be, and he won't listen to any nonsense to the contrary. Just know that when this truck is in the shop and he call's asking about the "Peterbuilt" this is the truck he is referring to. That's how it became known as the "Peternational". My son, probably on the wise counsel of his father in law, went to a junk yard and got a couple of Peterbuilt and International signs off wreaks, broke them in half and his truck now has "Peternational" signage over the cab doors.

The parts can be found everywhere

When I worked for John Cuneo he let me trade in a Freightliner Cab over for a 1993 379 Peterbilt, it was immaculate, 425 Cat,twin stacks, Dual Chrome Air Cleaners,I'll never forget dropping off that ole Freight Shaker and driving back to Soldier Field (Circo Mundial)in the Pete...By the time I finished working for the "Commander" I had on my own dime Chromed out every gage and switch on the dash, when I left the truck was in Better shape then when He bought it, and like I said it was immaculate then...Many of you have stories about Mr. Cuneo, which I don't doubt...However He always treated me A#1 and in return I treated his equipment, animals and pocketbook in his Best interest as if it I ever worked for and also a Dear, Dear Friend...

twin screw, 3 stage Jake, 13 speed w/ 63" unibuilt Sleeper,Aluminum rims...

Zych,
A great deal was found on that particular truck, at that particular moment. What year was that 1993 Peterbuilt purchased? Do you recall where it is now, or who purchased it?

It was purchased in 1999 or 2000 w relatively low miles and I believe Adrian Poema purchased it after I left

The rig shown in this photo, if memory serves me right, was a 48 foot trailer and a Pete that was purchased new by Mr Moore, and not the rig that was bought by George. However Mr Moore had two semis; a 45 footer pulled by a cabover KW which I strongly believe is the rig George Barrada purchased. Both tractors and trailers had this same paint scheme that ye all are thinking about. The trailer shown in this photo was purchased by Gary Johnson.
And yes JZ your Pete was quite nice howevwer the one shown in this photo was on the money.

James C. Hall,
Be that as it may, bottom line neither this rig or Zych's was a Peternational. :) Case closed. Right, John Milton........

P.S. Zych,
Six or seven year old rig? Damn, you were the favored son and not Susan Lacey, after all. :)
