Polack Bros. Elephants #1 (From Buckles)

I don't have a date on these pictures but they were taken during the time I was at the Ringling Park 1974-77.
We drove down to see them appearing at a date in Tampa and had a nice visit with Tommy and Pom Pom Donoho who were presenting the act.
Elephants are "Stella", "Opal" and "Louie" (Louie Stern). I had added the two young elephants to the herd back in the 1960's.
Even Opal's tub looked familiar.

These were all taken in San Diego at an Al Bahr Shrine Circus date back in 1973. The Polack show was set up behind the Al Bahr Shrine's old headquarters (which used to be the old Circle Arts Theater) located at Clairemont Mesa Blvd.and Highway 163. The building is now gone, replaced by a hotel. The open field where the show appeared is now an Industrial Park.
