PATTERSON, Walter B. Age 75 of Nashville. October 21, 2010. He is survived by daughter, Wendy Plunkett; grandson, Joshua Plunkett; granddaughter, Rachel Plunkett; and former wife, Ruth Patterson. Walter had a great love for the circus, from his days of gymnastics in high school. After winning the NCAA Championship medal for trampoline and tumbling at the University of Iowa he made a profession of the circus. For over 30 years he performed with Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey & Shrine Circuses all over the country and overseas. After his performing years he continued to be involved through producing and setting up shows. Truly the circus was his life.
