Dad built a travel trailer in the 1960s and we toured the lower 48 before most campgrounds were built. Many of our stops were farms where enterprising farmers open up a field for “primitive” camping. Several had what we called “Johnny on the Spots” that were outhouses without the bother of digging a hole for we travelers to drop our contributions to the soil. These splintery facilities actually had handles similar to wheelbarrows handles attached front and back so two burly farm hands could lift the makeshift donniker over the pile and place it a few steps closer to camp.
Back in my days as a candy butcher with Kelly-Miller, each item was identified as it was unloaded from the concession wagon.
"Doniker Board for the Fat Ladies" was of course the counter for the floss pans.
Buckles,
"Another angle of the working men's toilette should any Model Builders care to duplicate." "Doniker Board for the Fat Ladies" LOL You are in rare form this AM, Mr. Woodcock!!!! The "Apache's" in Mexico take three men(a forth one with an umbrella if it is raining) to the doniker, each time they go. Two hold a piece of side wall up, while one does his business. Four side's and a roof would be Nirvana......

Many years ago at a local park by a damn where many people camped and fished, there doniker was s small building with no door but a plywood piece you went around not to get seen.
But where you set was a concrete drain pipe with the large end up and a 2 by 4 to set on.
Well the pipe was more than half full the smell was out of this world and ripe.
The flies were as thick as a stired up bee hive.
Give me a circus doniker any time.
Harry in Texas
No top on this 1 Wade otherwise
it could double as the blueroom
