From Frank Ferrante #1

Buckles,

Here is a picture of the two vintage CIRCUS VARGAS posters that were presented to current show owner Nelson Quiroga-Tabares this past week. I was there at the presentation when the anonymous donor gave them to the Circus, saying he felt that, "These posters are a part of this Show's heritage and legacy and they belong with the Show."

The Red one is the older of the two, both had vibrant color and detail.

Regards,
~frank

Mr. V had the original painting of the red one in his trailer.
I wonder where they are today?????
Colby made the posters for Circus Vargas and you never saw so many boxes of posters they used.
Both of these posters, the marketing director and I covered many and empty building with them.
Vargas always used a upright poster and never saw a horizontal one.
When Circus Vargas came to town you sure knew they were here as thousands of posters and tickets
were in every town in a 50 mile radius.

When I went to Southern California to work for Big John Strong I was truly amazed to see Cliffs So-Cal route printed on the side of a Milk carton...every Kid who ate cereal surely saw it also...
