While the 1955 RBBB big top was impressive it was dwarfed by the mighty 6-pole ones that GSOE used before 1939 and again in 1943-47. Here it is in 1946, the year before I last saw the 6-poler in 1947 at Atlanta's Lakewood Fiargrounds. In 1947 the canvas top was blue and the sidewalls were red.

As the caption says, that big top was 600 ft long and 200 ft wide.
