I heard that it may have been torn down

Perhaps Randy can update us

save for another time

I think you are referring to the old Toledo Sports Arena. I'm 95% certain it is long gone.

Yes, the Sports Arena was torn down in 2007 and a new arena (called the Huntington Center) opened across the river in 2009.
