Is this in Baraboo? I think I recognize the Ringling Theater in the background. What year is this from?
This was actually from the parade scene in "A Christmas Story" and was filmed at the Public Square, on West 11th Street in downtown Cleveland(in front of Higbee's Department Store). That parade scene was shot about 3:00 a.m. one morning in early 1983.
Some of you might recognize this as a frame enlargement from the 1983 film A CHRISTMAS STORY. The Christmas parade sequence was filmed on Public Square in downtown Cleveland, Ohio (substituting for Hammond, Indiana.) If you have any information on the wagon shown in this scene, please share it with the rest of us.
We watched that movie during today's family Christmas dinner.
Shannon and Dalilah especially enjoyed the part where Santa and his elves man-handle the kids, both having been former elephant ride loaders.
If Higbee thinks I'm working one minute past 9:00, he can kiss my foot. Ho ho ho
Get him off my lap and get my a towel
