My "comments" on pix 3 & 4 from Jerry Digney failed to go thru re: unknown dog act in
1955: we believe it's Gustav DeJonghe, from Belgium, who made his U.S.
debut with Ringling in 1955, using mostly leaping Irish Setters. He was
cousin of chimp trainer Alphonse DeJonghe, who was also with show in
'55. Sometimes Gustav's canines were presented by Octave DeJonghe. --
