Wiedaman's Elephants 1952

Ed and Arzetta Wiedaman presenting "Peggy" and "Zetta".
Having retired as a Postman, Ed decided to go into the elephant business.
A likeable guy, so much so that MacDonald trained the elephant at right and my dad the other in their spare time as a favor.
Tho ill suited, Ed and Artie managed to make a lot of big time dates including Orrin Davenport.

Buckles: Didn't you end up with his elephant Zetta aka Sweetie, named after his wife Arzetta?

I never did hear the end of her story; I know she was on Castle when Tarzan bought the show but I heard he didn't want any part of her.

I had almost forgotten about that.
Somebody contacted me from the Miami Zoo offering to donate her to me.
Being within my price range, Ben and I took the truck down there and right away I knew it was a mistake, I had misjudged her age and she was just about ready for the Secret Elephant Burial Ground.
Ben talked me into bringing her home ane we had her for a week or so.
Somebody contacted me, probably Ted, about an animal farm up in the Gainesville area, run by an elderly couple that were interested.
Jim Elliot went with us to drop her off, maybe he remembers more about her arrival there.
The final outcome was that Zetta immediately felt right at home and blissfully finished her days there.
