Whatever became of James M. Cole, Jr.? He would have been about 16 in this photo. I certainly remember his father and the string of winter dates he had in upstate New York high school gyms as well as his time on the Acme Circus Operating King show--certainly a grand old man of the circus who loved the business.

Buckles,
I recall visiting the Hagen show as a kid.I believe they had four elephants. Dorothy's history did not succeed the Hagen show to my recollection.
We wintered at the Edmond Ok show quarters in 1961.At the time the Hagen show's cows and Clyde Bros' elephants, Mary, Sue and Ruth, were there that winter. A year or so later we revisited quarters. It was winter time and snow on the ground. That day they had just received a shipment of six punks. I recall a vet being there and one of the punks was not doing well. The vet did not get there on time and Mr.Suesz was reaming someone out over signing off on them instead of the vet. We heard they lost one a day or so later.

James Cole Jr went by "Sonny" when he was a boy.
