The weather was still quite brisk in Michigan. A dozen or so furnaces were used and kept the tent quite toasty.

Jimmy Cole said...: It looks like the sidewall has been extended outward and in line with the tent ropes (straps) to the stake line. What a great idea! It must add a lot more square (round) footage to the interior of the big top. Also it probably gives the tent better wind resistance in a storm.; 19 October, 2011 06:49

The top is guyed out by the side wall.
A while back upon returning to the US,TZ told me about the top he had just ordered and the tent extending to the ground in lieu of side wall.
I have seen a similar set up back in 1985 in Tokyo, Japan that was on a show we worked on produced by Paul Kaye & Senkosha corp.; 19 October, 2011 18:00
