Louis Goebel's early entrance to the Lion Farm, circa 1930. The street then was called Ventura Blvd., still a main thoroughfare through the San Fernando Valley going North. Thousand Oaks did not have a post office when Goebel opened, and adding to the confusion was the Farm's PO Box address in nearby Camarillo. As the community grew, politics took root, and the street was re-named. In my era, the address had long been 2034 Thousand Oaks Blvd. |
