A worthy entrance to the sprawling Woodstock estate! But "hell"? I don't think so, unless you're counting those day when the inevitable computer malfunctions occur. ~frank
These are the tubs we used in the old days. The third one was left at MacDonald's place in San Antone. Peggy invited me to pick it up if I was ever in the area but the opportunity never arose.
Buckles, Very well thought out front gate design and you made it high enough a semi can get through it and classy looking. Who ever did your large W and two small elephants on top they are very good metal workers. I have a friend here in town that has a water plus ebrasive computer cutter that it could cut an elephnat like that from 1/4 of an inch to lots larger and the devise is just maazing. Harry in Texas
Chic, I needed a thick piece of steel cut to mount a very large machine shop vise I picked up cheap. The guy has this machine and it took him less than a minute to cut that piece of steel. And it was a perfect cut and if I tried to cut it with a hack saw it would have looked like hell and been half a day doing it. The machine uses water and I think some kind of grit mixed. You put on the computer what you need and it is done. Technology is really something now. Chic, 1 inch stainless WOW like cutting a diamond. Harry in Texas
I'm not that bad, really. Kenny Dodd was by this morning with some incredible Ringling pictures that he let me scan. I didn't yell or threaten him one time. Ask him!
Barbara drew the elephant and I picked out the "W" at the shop in Valrico with instructions to mount the elephant on each side. Originally I was going to have additional ornamentation placed across the top and down each side but my banker cut me off.

So , if these are the gates of hell , who would the person in the photo be ? And , is he coming or going , or just visiting booking agent friends ???
Were these working tubs or were
they created for this entrance
Should have matching trash tubs

I guess the BOSS chose the demure
& stately elegant black
(hope she doesn't read this)
"Mercy Acres" indeed
Lord have mercy (please)
I thought Woodstock was in the
Catskills Frank not Ruskin

Awesome!!
Just how often do you pull sentry
duty Buckles (hands on hips looks
like you really mean business)
You must terrorize the neighbors

TO BUCKLES!
You stand at the gateway to the site of the origin of our greatly anticipated and deeply cherished daily dose of BUCKLES WEB LOG!!!!
Kenny keeps secrets better than
anybody I know (but I'll ask)
For no good reason I just had a
recollection of a small chain of
German sausage & beer joints in NY
named "Zum Zum" great variety of
sausages & 2 German beers on tap
1 barrel titled Hell & the other
Dunkel (a light & a dark) both
of which were very nice indeed
Just thought that "The Gates Of
Hell" would be a great name for
a German beer joint
Very nice, a few bronzed road apples stacked in a pyramid held together with brass monkeys would be cool.

As it turned out "She" made
a very wise decision indeed
A distinctive crest but not
distracting from the tubs
However I would have left
the tubs silver with red trim
